This is Almir, with his happy mom Nusetra. Almir hails from Kosovo, and is two and half years old.
Almir was born with a hole in a wall of his heart. Without help, his life expectancy was very limited. That’s where you, the supporters of Gift of Life NJ Inc. came in. GOL was able to arrange for a surgery of Almir through the good people at the Children’s Hospital of NJ.
On January 6, the hole that threatened his life was closed. His mother, his father, and his older sister and brother are relieved. His family extends a hearty “thank you” to their new American friends!
Almir recently came in for a checkup and received a clean bill of health. Below are some photos from his visit.
